This is a very athletic movement. Make sure you keep your fingers pointed down-hill on the BOSU Ball so you don't run the risk of hyperextending your wrists.
I've used this exercise with a lot of athletes. It is a great total body power move. The Drop phase really makes you brace for impact so that you are able to maintain structure upon impact. The Pop phase is a powerful flexion and tucking of the legs into position.
If you are really advanced, you can try Popping up onto only one leg.
Have fun with the Drop and Pop, you'll be more athletic the better you get at it.
