I love planks on the BOSU Ball! Planks are one of the best ways to build strength in you mid-section (core) that you will be able to apply in the real world or in sports.
The key to planking well is controlling your breath. You want to maintain a level of internal pressure that is supported by your breath. So don't expel all of your air too rapidly in the plank. Don't hold your breath either.
Simply holding the plank position for time, or extending the arms to increase the lever length, or slightly rocking back and forth in the plank are all great ways to develop incredible strength throughout your core.
Keep the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth to take strain out of your neck.
Now go build some core strength with a plank!
