I Teach What I Know
At this stage in my life, I don't enjoy going to the gym very much and prefer to exercise "outside of the box". I am continually exploring better methods for training, which has led to the creation of the BOSU Balance Trainer, Ballast Ball, Quick Hands Bola Trainer, as well as the specific training techniques I now use personally and teach to others. My training discoveries have helped me gain physical capabilities I never thought I could possess.
At one point I made the mistake of teaching people what I thought they wanted to learn rather than teaching them what I know, what I do, and why I do it. My style may suit some people and it may not suit others. Either way, I'm going to remain true to myself. That's what I mean by "No More B.S."
I look forward to training because the emphasis is on enhancing movement - not burning calories. This creates Leverage in my workouts. What I mean by Leverage is my body retains valuable "soft-ware" so that my physical abilities continue to expand and grow in depth the longer I train this way. This makes movement, new activities, and everything else more enjoyable. The result is I have the body that I want and can sustain, my capabilities are constantly increasing, and I don't feel a sense of restriction or deprivation.
The temptation is to "have it all right now". We see it constantly - the no effort, no work, fast results sales pitches... Those who peddle this B.S. marketing fitness do no one a service. This approach may be financially lucrative for those who use it, but it tends to perpetuate problems rather than helping people in a lasting and meaningful way to make positive change for themselves and those around them.
