Folding a Heavy Bag in Half

A Rolling Ropes™ Testimonial

"Hello David,

I just wanted to drop a line and let you know how happy I have been with the rolling ropes system. I remember the first few times we got together and I remember thinking “I will never get this.”  Basically within two weeks I was rolling extremely well.  Your method for teaching the techniques gave me a very thorough grasp very quickly.  I certainly started to understand my body (the strengths and weaknesses!) like I never had before.  It was surprising how much just rolling the rope was teaching me.

I wanted to share this experience as well though.  I can remember hitting a heavy bag before starting to roll the ropes and feeling awkward and weak.  I am 6’3” and 225 pounds and well put together (a college football all conference player and NFL candidate) and never was much at hitting bags.  As you say, “The best exercise is the one you will do.” Well, needless to say I was never fond of punching  bags because it pointed out a weakness (that being disconnection from my rotational force into the bag).  After studying rolling ropes for about 8 months I remember teaching at an athletic performance camp. There was a Muay Thai instructor and he suggested that I step up to punch a heavy bag.  I was so surprised when the bag just about bent in half when I hit it!  I can only attribute the increase in power to rolling ropes.  I finally got the power of spiral dynamics in my body!  The instructor even asked me to come train with his professional fighters in L.A.  I was stunned.  I never trained as  boxer or even practiced hitting a bag. EVER! Rolling ropes took me from not being able to move a heavy bag to folding it in half (with no other training) in a matter of months.

I am convinced that this is a tool that I will have in my training quiver for a long time to come.  It informs all athletic tools like no other I have come across.  Through studying some of the most dynamic movements my body could make, I feel as if I can do all things more adeptly.  Whether that be surfing, punching a bag, kicking a football, or even catching myself from slipping off a stair, I believe that rolling ropes helps to keep me centered, protected, and powerful!

Thank you David!

Blessings,
